It’s no surprise that the majority of tourists coming to Cabo are American. Followed in second place by Canadians.
But it may be a bit of a surprise to know that Australians are in third place. Attracted by the natural beauty plus the diving, snorkelling and fishing that is available.
For this reason, FITURCA - Los Cabos Tourism Board - are paying serious attention to Australia as an emerging market. And have just completed a tour there, meeting with tour operators, airlines and all associated service providers.
A crucial step for this market will be the development of direct flights. And Director of FITURCA, Rodrigo Esponda, confirmed that encouraging initial discussions are already underway with three US airlines - United, American, and Delta. All three currently flight direct to Australis, and connect with Los Angeles and San Jose del Cabo. Indicating the potential for an interesting growth market.
And just by coincidence one of Australia’s hottest young music DJ’s - Thomas Jack- was spotted in Cabo only days ago.
Famous for coining the term “tropical house”, the young DJ was in town for a birthday bash. And what better way to celebrate than to charter a luxury yacht with your pals….
