15th Annual Cabo Surf Summit 2012 Held In San Jose

The Grand Faro Hotel Convention Center, in San Jose del Cabo, was the newest site of the 15th Annual Surf Summit, which took place over a four day period, from May 15-19. The Surf Summit is the yearly Los Cabos conference in which every important issue of the surfing industry is discussed by network professionals. This year’s guest speakers consisted of Stacy Peralta, a writer/producer/director and avid surfing legend, as well as Jean-Michel Cousteau, an ocean explorer/filmmaker/environmentalist and television personality recognized all over the world and respected family member of the Jacque Cousteau legacy. Cousteau discussed his unique perspective of the ocean waters and the impact global warming is having on popular surfing destinations across the globe and the challenges the surfing community faces in dealing with these monumental changes.
