Loads more visitors have been arriving this summer in
Baja California Sur - 353 000 to be precise. And they have been spending loads more money - 3.726 million pesos. Fabulous for the local
economy.
Most of the visitors (279,000), and most of the money, (3.339 million pesos) has come into Cabo. But La Paz and Loreto have also shown healthy increases
in both hotel occupancy and spending rates.
The State Secretary of Tourism, Genaro Ruiz, says this
shows the strength of the combined marketing and promotional activities that
everyone across the state has been working so hard on.
He is convinced the tourist industry will strengthen year
on year and bring huge economic benefits.. And he wants
to thank everyone in the municipal, tourist, service, aviation and business
sectors that continue to work so hard.
