The 16th annual Los Cabos Tuna Jackpot Tournament started
this morning with the usual shotgun start and over 120 boats of all shapes and
sizes roaring off into the ocean in a welter of foam and smoke!
The weather was fine but there was a freshening wind and a
large swell after Hurricane Vance passed by on Tuesday night, but that won’t
dampen the enthusiasm which was whipped up on the start boat as teams passed by
to cries of “Show us your number!” from
the #unstoppable Isabella who danced and boogied her way through the entire start. It was quite an event and what a way to motivate the teams for the day ahead!
The first boats are due in by 2pm but weigh in continues
until 6pm.
An early casualty was the team on Reel Quest which broke down. Luckily they could get back to the marina and were able to jump on the Pisces chartered Shambala and get back in the game.
And it all starts again tomorrow!
