Widely regarded as one of Mexico’s most innovative contemporary
chefs, Enrique Olvera is due to visit Cabo in July. He will give a talk on his own
particular brand of Mexican cooking. And more specifically he will discuss the importance
of ancient Mexican foodstuffs, like corn, to contemporary Mexican cuisine.
Olvera is no stranger to Cabo. He has already brought his
unique blend of creative cuisine to Cabo San Lucas in the shape of Manta. A
restaurant based in The Cape, an exclusive Thomson Hotel. Manta is a showcase
for Mexican Pacific Rim fusion cuisine. Where Japanese and Peruvian accents are
added to regionally sourced seafood and traditional Mexican ingredients.
Olvera’s other ventures extend to Mexico City and New York.
He is the owner and founder of Mexico City based Pujol – currently considered
one of the 20 best restaurants in the word, and the third best in Mexico. And he
runs the famous COSME restaurant in NYC.
Olvera has written
several cookery books, and has been featured in the Netflix documentary series “Chef’s
Table” which focuses on the lives and culinary creations of world famous chefs.
If you are in Cabo in July don’t miss this opportunity to
