Well, the full moon did not effect us TOO bad :) We did have
one unlucky boat Monday, but other than that, we pulled through nicely! Dan
Huber and son had a slow day on ReelRum the day before catching a Dorado, but
turned it around on Monday fishing in a different spot. They caught 5 Dorado in
all and released a Striped Marlin. Steve Casselman and crew fished on RedRum
and released a Striped Marlin and boated a Dorado.
The Cokewell fam really enjoyed their trip as they got lucky catching a Striped Marlin, 2
Dorado and a Yellowfin Tuna!Cokewell family The Blechengers, Todd and Yolanda
were back with us this year in Tantrum for 2 days. They caught 7 Dorados day
one – most of which were released and released a Striped Marlin on day 2. We
had long -time RedRum veteran anglers, Lou Wheeler along with buddy Frank
Kapriva on RedRum. They went out for Tuna and had no luck :/ They were able to
release a MArlin, because they got lucky on the way back in. Owner, John
Donovan went out with buddies, Bill Guinee and crew Tuesday, they were also
looking for Yellowfin. They got skunked. John was not having that so they went
back out on Wednesday to try and turn things around and caught some nice
Dorado. Guinee with PJ Local guy Ken
Bond fished with a buddy aboard RumRunnin on Thursday and were thrilled with
their 7 Dorado and Striped Marlin release.
Had another local, Keith McIntosh
who fished with his fam for a 1/2 day on RedRum, they did well pulling in 4
Dorado. Robert Tunmats and Karl Gustarerickson all the way from Sweden fished
for 3 days and their dreams became a reality when they each were able to
release a Striped Marlin! They released one more and caught more Dorado than they
could count! Super nice guys from the other side of the world!! Swedes Cameron
Gow and buddy Michael Eberitzsch had an awesome 2 days aboard RedRum with
Captain Omar and mate Ozzie. They came back early both days because they were
tired of reeling in all their Dorado! Bill Hogan and his clan won a trip via
CCA auction out of Texas. During 2 days of fishing on 19′s TOy they released 2
Striped Marlin and caught 16 Dorado and a Wahoo. They toted out 2 50 pound fish
boxes on their way to the airport today!! Teri Graham and her crew who won a
similar trip via SEA in Texas sent the men out fishing for the 2 days on El
Nuevo. They caught 6 Dorado and a Wahoo day one and day 2 released a Striped
Marlin and reeled in 6 more Dorado. Dave Tewes and Amy Morris fished with us
last year and had such a great time that Amy bought Dave a gift certificate to
come back this year. This time they brought some friends and boy were they
lucky they did! They caught their limit in Dorado and reeled in a nice Wahoo as
well!
It does not get much better than this my friends! Weather is
BEAUTIFUL in Cabo and the fishing is great!! Find one of those great deals they
